Kyran Bracken MBE
Rugby player & former England Captain
Successful international Rugby player & former England Captain
In 2003 Kyran triumphed in the world cup and along with the rest of the squad and received an MBE from the Queen.
As a motivational sports speaker Kyran explains what businesses can learn from rugby and sport in general. His story is very much about competition and overcoming adversity, he not only offers focused business speaking on an array of topics, he also has a fantastic collection of anecdotes and entertaining stories. Thanks to his timing, sharp wit and self-deprecating humour, he’s a great choice as an after dinner speaker.
World Cup winner Kyran made his debut for England against the All Blacks in 1993 sustaining a nasty ankle injury following a stamp from Jamie Joseph. The severity of the injury side-lined Kyran for three months. However, he showed his determination and ability to triumph in the face of adversity by fighting his way back to full fitness and back into the England team.
In 2007 Kyran swapped in boots for skates on the hugely popular ITV show, Dancing on Ice. Winning the show was a new beginning for Kyran as he went on to engage his entrepreneurial skills into setting up and running a successful touring skating show, Kyran’s Ice Party. This experience means that Kyran is an ideal choice to speak on managing change, retraining and goal setting.
